Menu:
Many blissymbols can be derived from the symbol for
Person :

Add a 1 and you get the first person pronoun,
I :

Add a 2 and you get the second person pronoun,
You :

In bliss, there is even a plural version of the second person pronoun,
You (you all) :

The plural indicator that looks like an " x " can be visuallized to mean plural
because it represents "two sticks held together".
If you make the person symbol lean over a little you have the idea of Necessity or
Need :

Then add the verb indicator and you have the verb,
to need :
The verb indicator is derived from a most basic "action" of the earth, a volcano.
Add the adjective indicator and you have the blissymbol for
Necessary :

Charles Bliss said that an adjective does not represent a real physical thing,
but rather it is an evaluation or idea that comes down from the mind about a thing...
So the adjective indicator that looks like a " v " implies the arrowhead pointing down from the blissymbol for
Idea :
The idea of a leaning person representing
"need" is adapted further to give us the symbol for Help :
You can see that the "person" symbol is not leaning,
but rather, is supporting the leaning line.
