Question:
1. What would the symbols for "Connection", "independent" and "links" be?
2. If we wanted to use one of your symbols as part of our logo, how would the copyright work?
Answer:
The answer to this question is improvised and so should not necessarily
be considered to be composed of officially approved Blissymbols.
Improvisation is customary in creating logos anyway.
The symbols for
connection and
links
can both be based on the symbol for
a link
in a
chain.
Since a connection or link is an action, you could place the
action indicator before the symbol:
connection
links.
Notice the
plural indicator above the symbol for
links.
The following improvised symbol for
independent
is derived from the following symbols:
full
enough
self
other
It combines
enough and
self to mean, essentially,
self is enough.

that image will belong to you.
Question:
Is there a Blissymbol for the word
Print?
Answer:
When Blissymbolics was invented shortly after WWII, the predominant writing machine was the typewriter.
In Blissymbolics, the symbol for
to type
means literally "to machine write".
Since, in today's modern computer world, the printer has replaced the typewriter as the predominant
writing machine, it would be appropriate to use this symbol for
Print.

But the meaning of this symbol, literally, is "feel like you can enter a house or building".
For boarding a ship, we could improvise a symbol this way:

(feel like you can enter a ship or boat)
For a chat room we could improvise a symbol this way:

(feel like entering a room)
And to welcome visitors to a room with a specific name:

(The name of the room is "c-base")
The symbol for
name
is derived from
mouth
and
pen
so it means, essentially, "something you say or write".
